Satire on the face of apathy in a cultural crisis.
Three U.S. orchestra Board of Directors organizations have pulled the wool over their musicians' eyes and pulled the rugs out from under them.
In Columbus, the board has unilaterally decided to cancel their legally-binding collective bargaining agreement.*
In Shreveport, unilateral cuts have drastically reduced musician salaries to below $4K per year - a huge cut of about 75%. In Miami, Florida Grand Opera management in effect has fired its entire orchestra.
As if this isn't bad enough, the public response in each of these orchestra's communities has not been very great. Local government officials have turned a blind eye and appear to care less that a major cultural institution in their community is going down the tubes. In other cities across America, an orchestra is a matter of civic pride and is considered vital to the city's growth and livelihood.

*In a recent statement, Board President "Buzz" Trafford ignorantly remarked that cancelling the CBA will have no impact on current negotiations...to which I would frankly reply - BWAH HA HA HAA Haaaa!! What the hell are you talking about Buzz?! No impact? What are you smokin' dude?
